The API has been at the top of our list for a while, but we’ve had several other changes to the app that were critical before releasing it. Changes to the UI were published a few weeks ago and dragging and dropping of tasks was a major update as well. With those major releases behind us, the next big update was the API. We started with the tasks section since it is one of the most heavily used sections across our customer base. The rest of the sections are currently being worked on and will be released as soon as they are completed.
The Projecturf API uses the common REST-based framework for simplicity and uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication, which you can learn more about here. To get started you’ll want to read through all the documentation starting with the overview section. If you need more information about how OAuth 2.0 works in general, visit these links: OAuth 2.0 and Quora.
Now you can begin integrating your software tools and systems with Projecturf. For example, you might want to create an API call to extract tasks from Projecturf and feed them into an invoicing tool. There are lots of options for updating data in Projecturf through the API, as well as extracting data. And of course, we are here to help. Please contact support should you have any questions or need assistance with any of your integrations. We are here to support you as you begin working with the API. To get started, you’ll need to first generate your key. Go to your account – integrations as shown here:
Then follow the instructions in the documentation on how to use your key to begin creating your first integration. Also, if you are interested in building integrations with other apps or your own apps, send us a note to find out more about creating and sharing integrations with the Projecturf community.
